After doing our DOL for Wed., we are watching SyncTV for The Monkey's Paw.

Complete Think Questions 1-2 only for homework. Be sure to annotate and cite evidence from the text to support your answers. We will discuss these two questions tomorrow.

Today we began Daily Oral Language with a twist.

We are beginning our unit on Suspense using StudySync.

Seedfolks drafts were due yesterday. Today we are editing. You editing checklist for today is on Google Classroom. Whatever you don't finish in class is homework. Be sure to read your story out loud, even if it's to your dog.

We are working on our posters this week. You will have time in class today and tomorrow and then we will move on.

Homework:
Reading journals are due today. You should have a total of 9 entries completed. Remember to label each entry week#-entry # (3-1, 3-2, 3-3). Let me know if you have any questions.

We are still reading Seedfolks. Today we read "Nora" and "Maricela".

Wednesday, September 12

We will continue to read Seedfolks and fill out the character chart.

If you have assignments that you need to turn in after the due date. This is the link to the make-up work form that you must fill out in order to credit. I will not grade late work, whether due to absence or late, unless this form is fill out for each late assignment.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

We are reading Seedfolks this week. We are reading the chapters through Virgil today. Please be sure to turn in the Ch. 1-4 questions. The rest of the characters should be completed on the chart. 

If you don't finish the chart in class, it is homework.

Complete Follow Directions 4. Be sure to read the directions because there have been changes.

After Follow Directions, you will work on the Literacy Journey HyperDoc. The HyperDoc is due at the end of class on Friday. The writing assignment will be due next week on Tuesday. There will be a separate turn-in for the writing.

Chromebooks:
We finally got our Chromebooks and we are ready to get to work. Remember to always bring your Chromebooks to school fully charged. If you find yourself running low on battery, come in at lunch and plug your Chromebook in. You can charge it during the lunch period.

Daily Agenda:

Today we are working on our Beginning of the Year checklist. You will see several assignments, including surveys and getting to know you activities that you need to complete. You were given mini-deadlines and you will turn in the full assignment on Wed. August 22.

Homework:

Student Information Sheet, Parent Survey, Reading Survey, and Writing Survey are all due tomorrow, Friday, August 17.

Chromebook Agreement is due on Monday, August 20.
