Today we will go over the instructions for the essay. We will discuss theme and begin to develop themes for our essay. We will also begin working on the graphic organizer for the essay.

Tuesday:
Theme Throwdown.
Continue to work on graphic organizer (Due Wednesday).

Wednesday:
Membean Quiz
Begin essay introduction (due Thursday)

Thursday:
Go over introductions.
Draft Day

Friday:
20% Time. This is the last time you will work on your project in class. Next week we begin working on presentations.

Homework:

List topics and possible theme statement(s) on graphic organizer

Tuesday:
Complete graphic organizer

Wednesday:
Write essay introduction
Draft due Tuesday

Today, you are going to first take the Act 1 Vocabulary quiz. When you finish, you will have a few minutes to work on Membean (45 Minutes due tomorrow) or GrammarFlip (due today).
